Inglewood 150th Anniversary
In 2025, the 150th Anniversary commemorates the history of new settlers, later to be called Inglewood, as the first settlement of Calgary.
In 1875, a trading post (Bow River Post), was established by the Hudson's Bay Co., at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, across the waters from Fort Calgary (The Confluence Historic Site).
Located at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, an important traditional gathering place for the Blackfoot Nation, in the journey towards Truth & Reconciliation, will be meaningful conversations throughout our business community and learnings in acknowledging the stories of the Land with Indigenous communities, alongside reflecting on the impact of the people who settled here.
